Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Dickson Kyere Duah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum West Municipality in the Bono Region, has expressed appreciation to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for his appointment as the Chairman of the Football Stakeholders Committee (FSC).
The GFA appointed Mr Duah to chair the committee comprising Mr Fred Pappoe, as Vice Chairman, Mr Vincent Sowah Odotei, the former MP for La Dadekotopon, Dr Francis Bediako, a sports administrator, Mr John Ansah, Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Dr Adams Baba, the Board Chairman of Karela United FC and Mr Haminu Dramani, a former player of the national team respectively as members.
In an interview sport at Jinjini, Mr Duah promised to bring his extensive experience to the role, having worked as a sports Journalist and consultant, and lecturer, before his election as an MP for Berekum West.
Mr Duah explained that among other responsibilities, the FSC’s work involved advising the GFA’s Executive Council on technical and structural matters.
He expressed his commitment to work hard to make a meaningful impact in the nation’s sports administration and thereby make local football more attractive and competitive for the nation to derive its optimum benefit.
