Africa-Press – Ghana. Parliament has reaffirmed its solidarity with Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, and Mr Adam Sukparu, Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, following their involvement in a road traffic accident.

A statement issued by Mr David Sebastian Damoah, Director of Media Relations at the Parliamentary Service, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said Parliament “commiserates with the two Honourable Ministers and expresses its sincere sympathy following this distressing incident.”

The statement acknowledged the shock experienced by the families of the Ministers, their constituents, and the general public.

It said the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin, together with the bipartisan leadership and Members of Parliament, visited the hospital to express solidarity and support on behalf of the entire House.

Parliament extended its wishes for a swift and full recovery for the two Ministers, assuring the public that there is “no cause for alarm as they continue to receive the necessary medical care.”
