Africa-Press – Kenya. Former Vihiga queens defender Enez Mango made history on Sunday by providing nine assists as Farul Constanta swept aside Vasas FC 23-0 in the Romanian second-tier league.

Mango who remains Vihiga’s most decorated captain after winning three Premier League titles and the Cecafa club trophy became the first Kenyan professional player to achieve that feat.

The marauding defender signed a two-year deal in October 2022 with the option of extending the deal for one more year.

Commenting on the achievement, Vihiga coach Boniface Nyamunyamu said: “She is the queen of assists but the nine she provided speaks volumes of how her career has evolved. She is a special player with unique qualities.”

He went on: “She is a progressive defender who overlaps most of the time. We knew she will thrive at the highest level even after her departure from Vihiga last year.”

Constanta tops their league with 27 points.

Another player with his own history is Harambee Stars and Al-Duhail striker Michael Olunga.

The towering forward plundered an astonishing seven goals as his Japanese side Kashiwa Reysol walloped Kyoto Sanga 13-1 in the final match of the 2019 season.
