Africa-Press – Lesotho. In today’s fast-paced world, the roads are often busy and unpredictable. This makes defensive driving not just a recommended skill but a necessity.
This was said by the Managing Director of LNIG Hollard Mr. Mpho Vumbukani during the handing over ceremony of certificates to 150 government drivers who underwent a Defensive driving course.
During this ceremony, Mr. Vumbukani showed that one of the primary advantages of defensive driving is enhanced safety therefore drivers who practice defensive techniques are more aware of their Surroundings, keep a safe following distance and react calmly to sudden changes in traffic.
He indicated that this course is aimed to helps drivers avoid legal and financial troubles and it promotes responsible, respectful behaviour on the road adding that by practicing defensive driving, individuals play a crucial role in making the roads safer for everyone.
One of the drivers , Mr. ‘Molotsi Mapetla applauded the organisers of this training saying that it will help them to significantly reduce the risk of collisions, injuries and fatalities saying that as defensive drivers they have been trained to expect the unexpected, such as a car suddenly braking, a pedestrian crossing illegally, or poor weather conditions.
