The COSAFA Women Championship games will take place in Durban, South Africa (SA). “I am excited that LDF Management has approached us for assistance, we have a strong covenant that was made long time back.
Donating soccer equipment to LDF Ladies is showing appreciation to the role of the army in the country because they are the ones who keep the peace and stability, as a
results, the foreign investors find it easy to invest in such country, making insurance companies like LNIG to run efficiently,” said Vumbukani. “The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 has affected everyone as
death cases increases and also affected LNIG cash flow, but we find it worthy to sponsor our champs who are not only representing their teams and LDF but the
country as a whole. We find it worthy to offer variable gear which includes, school bags where they will put their outfits, bottles that will be used to contain water, two piece of soccer tracksuit, two different varieties of short
pants, caps and two different shirts with different design,” he indicated. The Managing Director further noted that LNIG believes that the good attire also
influences the players to perform well. He said the equipment will also boost the players’ confidence. The LDF Commander Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela expressed
his excitement over the new soccer equipment from LNIG. “I am glad to receive this equipment under these trying times of Covid-19 where most companies undergo
the reduction of sales due to less demand, despite that, LNIG still finds it worthy to help us even under these conditions therefore that means a lot to us.
This milestone marks the solid agreement that was made a long time ago between the LNIG and LDF,” he explained. Lieutenant Letsoela further ordered LDF ladies to come back
with gold medals as to raise the flag of Lesotho high and demolish the stigma of considering Lesotho as the country that experienced most defeat in the international tournaments. “I hope the Covid-19 cases will decrease so that we can resume with our sports activities,” he said.
