Turkish Süper Lig club Antalyaspor have congratulated FC Fassell following the Liberian side’s recent championship win in the Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division League.
In a statement posted to its official social media platforms, Antalyaspor referred to FC Fassell as a “partner club” and commended the Liberian champions for securing a spot in the upcoming CAF Champions League.
“With the initiatives of our International Relations and Strategic Planning Department, FC Fassell, one of our partner clubs in Africa, has won the championship in the Liberia League,” the club’s statement read.
Antalyaspor further confirmed that the partnership between the two clubs is active and ongoing, covering areas such as youth and professional player development, coaching programs, marketing, and sponsorship opportunities.
“Our club’s relations with FC Fassell at A team level are continuing at full speed,” the Turkish outfit added.
FC Fassell were officially crowned champions over the weekend, though Liberia Football Association President Mustapha Raji was noticeably absent from the medal ceremony.
As the Soccer Missionaries prepare for their CAF Champions League debut, the announcement from Antalyaspor is seen as a boost to the club’s international profile and competitive development.
