Africa-Press – Liberia. Liberian internationals Murphy Oscar Dorley and Divine Teah have clinched the Czech First League title with Slavia Praha following a dominant 5-0 win over SK Sigma Olomouc on Saturday night.
Slavia’s emphatic victory was powered by a hat-trick from Vasil Kušej and a brace from Tomáš Chorý, securing their eighth Czech league crown with 81 points, well ahead of second-placed Viktoria Plzeň, who trail with 65 points.
Team captain Oscar Dorley, a consistent starter for Slavia, featured in the match and played 70 minutes before being substituted by David Moses. Divine Teah, who joined the club in January, was named among the substitutes but did not feature.
With this title, Slavia Praha also books an automatic place in the group stage of the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League. The team will officially lift the league trophy on May 24 during their final home game against Baník Ostrava.
Dorley, who joined Slavia Praha in 2020, now boasts four titles with the club and has become a central figure in their midfield. He previously helped the team to league triumphs in the 2018–2019 and 2019–2020 seasons but had to endure a three-year title drought.
Slavia’s latest success marks their fourth league title under head coach Jindřich Trpišovský. Despite their achievements, city rivals Sparta Prague remain the most decorated team in Czech league history with 14 titles.
The championship marks a dream milestone for both Dorley and rising talent Teah, who now look forward to showcasing their skills on Europe’s biggest football stage in the upcoming Champions League campaign.
