The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has given Jubilee FC a strict 10-day deadline to complete all registration and licensing requirements following a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that temporarily reinstated the club in the Orange First Division.
In an official letter dated November 1, 2025, the LFA, through President Mustapha I. Raji and General Secretary Emmett Crayton, informed Jubilee that while the CAS Sole Arbitrator had set aside the club’s earlier relegation, its compliance obligations remain outstanding.
CAS Ruling Clears Path for Temporary Reinstatement
The CAS decision, rendered in October, found Jubilee FC’s appeal against its May 8 relegation “admissible and partially upheld.” It further ruled that the LFA’s decision to demote the club be “set aside” and that the case be returned to the Club Licensing Appeal Board for fresh review.
While the appeal board reviews the matter, the LFA confirmed that any previous relegation ruling is suspended, and Jubilee FC will be provisionally reinstated in the First Division for the ongoing 2025–2026 season.
Ten Days to Comply
However, the LFA noted that Jubilee failed to register through its official digital platforms including CLOP and LFA Connect during the regular registration period earlier this year.
To remedy this, the association announced a special registration window lasting only ten (10) days, giving the club a narrow window to complete all outstanding requirements.
“The digital platforms shall be opened immediately and last for ten days in order to allow you to process your various registrations, specifically club licensing entry and players/officials registration,” the LFA’s letter stated.
The directive effectively puts the club on the clock with failure to comply within the specified period likely to jeopardize its reinstatement.
Competitions Department on Standby
The LFA’s Competitions Department will finalize Jubilee FC’s fixtures for the First Division season only after the club meets all compliance obligations.
“The Competitions Department shall communicate with you about the fixture after your completion of your registration process,” the communication further stated.
Race Against Time
The ten-day grace period is seen as both a lifeline and a test for the Monrovia-based club, which has endured months of uncertainty since its relegation dispute began in May.
Club sources told FrontPage Africa that preparations are already underway to complete the licensing and player registrations “as quickly as possible” to avoid further complications.
The ruling marks a crucial turning point for Jubilee FC, whose future in the First Division now hinges on how efficiently it can respond to the LFA’s directive.
