Africa-Press – Liberia. Turkish Airlines has announced plans to launch new flights connecting Istanbul and Monrovia, Liberia, with a stopover in Accra, Ghana. Starting May 11, 2026, the airline will operate two weekly flights on the route Istanbul – Accra (ACC) – Monrovia (ROB) – Accra (ACC) – Istanbul, designated as TK 627 and TK 628.
This new service is expected to positively impact Liberia’s economy by increasing access to international air travel, enhancing trade and tourism opportunities, creating jobs, and stimulating economic activity.
Flight Schedules:
TK 627: Istanbul (06:35) → Accra (10:55), then Accra (12:20) → Monrovia (14:15).
TK 628: Monrovia (15:10) → Accra (17:10), then Accra (18:35) → Istanbul (04:50 next day).
The introduction of these flights results from a close collaboration between the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, and the Government of Turkey, underscoring the strong partnership between the two nations.
