Africa-Press – Malawi. Nyasa Big Bullets FC continue to be the richest club in terms of claiming domestic league titles as they have been crowned champions of the 2022 TNM Super League season with two games to wind the Malawi’s football season.

The Peoples team have set another record winning it in four successive seasons and this is their 16th league title. Bullets FC just missed two TNM Super League titles to rivals Mighty Wanderers FC and Kamuzu Barracks FC in 2016 and 2017 seasons since 2014.

The team also holds another record which is yet to be broken by any other team in the country of winning the league 7 times in a row years back. Youthful attacker Lanjesi Nkhoma netted a brace at 20th and 49th minute and defender Gomezgani Chirwa scored at 30th minute to make sure Kalisto Pasuwa’s side smile as they send MK25 million into their TNM mpamba account.

Lloyd Njaliwa scored a consolation goal for the Soldiers at 56th minute. Nyasa Big Bullets FC needed just a point going into Saturday’s game as they were to reach 65 points which their title contenders Blue Eagles FC will get after playing 30 games.

However, the Peoples team made it possible to end the season in a stylish way by defeating the Lions of Kaning’ina. The team has 67 points from 28 games and two games to finish the season. They have opened a 8 point gap over Blue Eagles FC who have 59 points from 28 games on second position.

After the game Moyale Barracks FC coach, Pritchard Mwansa, praised his charges for the beautiful display. He added they had a mixed fortunes in the 2022 season. Mwansa vowed to go back to the drawing board and come hard in the forthcoming football season.

His counterpart Kalisto Pasuwa who continues dominating the local league since his arrival from Zimbabwe to Bullets FC said their secret for winning the league dwelled much on planning.

“If you plan well you win the games,as Bullets FC we played a lot of games hence we have been rotating the players which has paid dividend”,

“I revamped the team by bringing in the young ones. This was what top management wanted and after that slowly pressure started mounting. They jelled quickly and contained it. We have to trust these young ones in the next season”, Pasuwa joyfully said.

Nyasa Big Bullets FC are also the champions of the prestigious MK90 million FDH Bank Cup Pachema. They grabbed it after defeating their feeder team Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve FC weeks ago in Blantyre.
