Africa-Press – Malawi. 42-year-old man was on Thursday morning, September 22, 2022 found dead at River Mark lodge’s room at Kamuzu Road in Salima after committing in suicide.
Salima police station publicist Jacob Khembo identified the deceased as Percy Chikwera. Khembo told The Maravi Post that the deceased left home in Area 23 in Lilongwe on Monday this week and he never returned.
“Chikwera was found hanging in one of the rooms at a River mark lodge’s and postmortem results at Salima district hospital revealed that death was due to suffocation, secondary to strangulation,” says police publicist. The reason for committing suicide is not known yet. The late Chikwera hailed from Khosa village, Traditional Authority (T,A) Chadza in Lilongwe.
