Africa-Press – Mauritius. Upon leaving the courthouse following Sanjeev Ramdanee’s court appearance, a member of the accused’s support group committed an utterly indecent and obscene act by exposing his private parts in front of the press—right within the judicial compound.
Most shockingly, this individual stood side by side with none other than Pravind Jugnauth himself, yet neither Jugnauth nor Deepak Balgobin reacted in any way. No reprimand, no condemnation—not even a hint of disapproval.
That such behavior could occur in the presence of a former head of government, without the slightest intervention, constitutes a grave moral failing. Their silence amounts to tacit endorsement. This incident reveals a disturbing trend: the normalization of intimidation, contempt for the press, and the collapse of public accountability.
