Africa-Press – Mozambique. A City Link coach traveling on the Maputo-Nampula route was attacked on Wednesday night at the entrance to the headquarters town of Gorongosa district, Sofala province, in the centre of the country.
According to Carta de Moçambqiue sources, while the vehicle sustained material damage, no-one was hurt in the attack, which took place at around 8:00 p.m.. So far, the perpetrators of the attack and their motivations remain unknown.
This is the second armed attack reported on the Inchope-Gorongosa section since the death of the leader of the self-proclaimed Renamo Military Junta, Mariano Nhongo, who was killed by the Mozambican army on 11 October.
The two attacks have yet to be confirmed by the authorities.
