Africa-Press – Mozambique. Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) expressed its “most vehement condemnation” of the criminals responsible for the rape and murder of a student of Agro-Economics and Agricultural Extension at the university.
“This barbaric act, more than a violation of human rights, represents shame and dishonour to Mozambicans, as it signals a loss of moral values and a sense of love for one’s neighbour, to the point of committing this heinous and macabre crime,” reads a statement from Eduardo Mondlane University dated August 31.
The university calls for increased vigilance from the university community and society in general to help authorities identify the perpetrators of the crime.
