Indian businesses ready to invest in Namibia – outgoing Indian High Commissioner

Africa-Press – Namibia. THE outgoing High Commissioner of India to Namibia, Mandarapu Subbarayudu, said that many Indian businesses are eager to invest in Namibia and collaborate in sectors such as food production, agriculture, education, and health.

The High Commissioner said this during a farewell courtesy visit with President Nangolo Mbumba, where he attributed Indian businesses’ interest in Namibia to the country’s conducive business environment.

He also expressed his admiration for Namibia’s democracy, describing it as a model for others to emulate. The High Commissioner went on to wish Namibians the best in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence that the elections would be successful and peaceful.

President Mbumba also expressed hope for peaceful elections and affirmed that Namibians are ready to exercise their democratic rights. The President also congratulated the Indian people on their recently concluded elections.

Both President Mbumba and High Commissioner Subbarayudu emphasized the strong bilateral relations between Namibia and India, which have grown over the years, and underscored the importance of further strengthening these ties.
