Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan forward Magnifique Umutesi has left Indahangarwa to join Tanzanian side Simba Queens on a two-year deal.
Times Sport understands that the Tanzanian outfit paid half of her remaining one-year contract with Indahangarwa to secure her services.
She becomes the second Rwandan player to join Simba Queens this transfer window after Zawadi Usanase also joined the club from AS Kigali in July.
Umutesi is currently a professional footballer and a cyclist for APR AC.
Meanwhile, star Rwandan defender Thierry Manzi has committed his future at Libyan champions Al Ahli Tripoli for one more season until June 2026.
Manzi’s contract extension comes just days after he guided the club to the Libyan Premier League title.
Al Ahli Tripoli is also currently home to Amavubi captain Djihad Bizimana.
Meanwhile, Kiyovu SC completed the transfer of Jean Réne Ishimwe from Marines FC. The rising left-back signed for the Mumena-based club on a two-year deal.
Ishimwe becomes Kiyovu’s latest signing after the likes of Burundian veteran Cédric Amiss who will be looking to enjoy a successful season and his Burundian coach Francis Haringingo who is also eager to make history on his second spell at the club.
Kiyovu have been so active on the transfer market since World Football governing body, FIFA, recently lifted the transfer ban on the club allowing them to register new players.
FIFA already granted the club an International Transfer Certificate allowing them to register Amiss who played in Saudi Arabia.
