Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda’s representatives in the 2024 edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), APR Basketball Club, have signed two NBA G-League players ahead of the competition.

The Sahara Conference, where APR was placed, will take place from May 4-12 in Dakar, Senegal.

In the conference, APR will be rubbing shoulders with clubs including US Monastir (Tunisia), Rivers Hoopers (Nigeria), and AS Douanes (Senegal).

The new players that APR has added are Abdullah Ahmed, an Egyptian center who plays for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G-League, and Obadiah Noel, an American shooting guard who plays for the same team.

Ahmed, 21, is a six foot eleven center who is expected to bolster APR’s prowess in the paint, offensively and defensively.

As for Noel, 24, he is a high scoring guard, who during his college basketball career with UMass Lowell River Hawks men’s basketball, became the second player to surpass 1,500 points during the Division 1 era.
