Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda’s handball governing body (FERWAHAND) has confirmed that the 2024 national Heroes Day handball tournament will be held from February 10-11 at Kimisagara ground.
The two-day competition will attract teams from both men and women categories with Gicumbi and Kiziguro handball clubs looking to defend their titles in the respective categories.
On agenda, FERWAHAND Secretary-General, Pascal Tuyisenge told Times Sport that the top three teams from each category will be awarded.
The men’s clubs lined up to participate in this year’s edition include: Police, TTC Rubengera, Nyakabanda, APR, Musanze Handball Academy, TTC de la Salle, Gorillas, Adegi, UR Rukara and Es Kigoma, while Kiziguro, Falcons, UR Rukara, Three Stars, ESC Nyamagabe and University of Kigali will be represented in women’s tourney.
