Police FC Aims to Extend Unbeaten Streak

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Police FC striker Lague Byiringiro has said the team is determined to finish the first round of the league unbeaten, after securing crucial points against Marines FC on Sunday, October 26 at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu District.

Police FC will host Mukura Victory Sports on November 1 at Kigali Pele Stadium, looking to maintain their impressive form since the start of the season.

The law enforcers currently sit at the top of the table with 15 points from five matches, followed by Rayon Sports with ten. Byiringiro noted that while many teams are eager to challenge them, Police are fully aware of the task ahead and ready to fight to maintain their winning run.

“We’ve been doing well for the last five matches and I hope we’ll get the three points against Mukura,” said Byiringiro.

Byiringiro acknowledged that facing Mukura will be one of their toughest tests yet.

“They’ll come out to try and win. It will be an entertaining match since both teams like to play good football,” he added.

The former APR forward emphasized the importance of consistency.

“Every game is a decider because it’s three points that we are fighting for,” he said, “We need to win every match.”

Mukura have proven to be tough opponents for title contenders, having beaten Rayon Sports, APR, and Police last season. Police FC may need to be at their best if they hope to maintain their perfect record.

“We want the league title, but we take it game by game,” Byiringiro stressed. “Our first goal is to finish the first round without losing.”

Before the start of the 2025–26 season, Police FC appointed coach Ben Moussa, who previously led APR FC to a league title. Under his leadership, the club has made it clear that their ultimate goal is to win the league for the first time in their history.

After five matchdays, Police FC lead the table with a perfect record, five wins in five matches.
