Rwanda expects tough duel in Sitting Volleyball World Cup

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Sitting Volleyball team expects a real challenge in the upcoming 2023 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup running from November 11 to 18, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Rwanda’s men and women will start the campaign on Sunday. In the men’s category, Rwanda will start the campaign against Iraq before taking on hosts Egypt on November 14.

However, for the women’s category, on Sunday, Rwanda will kick off its campaign against Germany before they face Mongolia in the evening, on November 13. Rwanda will take on hosts Egypt and end the group matches against China on November 14.

Rwanda’s coach Mossad Rashad said: “It’s not a group of death, it’s a playing group. The strongest team is China but it’s not the first time we’ll be playing.”

The women’s national team was drawn in Group B against Egypt, Mongolia, China and Germany.

Rashad said: “We are well prepared for the World Cup; we have done enough training. We have learned a lot.”

The Sitting Volleyball World Cup will qualify one male and one female team for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
