Civil Status Department Wraps Up Passport Mission Australia

Africa-Press – Seychelles. The Civil Status department has successfully completed its passport enrolment and delivery mission in Australia.

In a press release issued yesterday the department said this marks another important milestone in its ongoing efforts to bring essential government services closer to Seychellois citizens living abroad.

As of July 20, 2025, a total of 120 Seychellois citizens residing in Australia have received their new passports. Of these, 66 were delivered in Perth and 54 in Melbourne, where enrolment exercises were previously held.

“This initiative forms part of the department’s commitment to ensuring greater accessibility, efficiency and citizen-focused service delivery,” read the communique.

“By extending services beyond our national borders, we continue to respond to the needs of the Seychellois diaspora making it easier for them to access key civil documents without the need to travel back home.”

The Civil Status department has thanked all Seychellois citizens in Australia for their cooperation, and its key partners namely Foreign Affairs department, the Department of Information Communications Technology (D.I.C.T) and the consular support team who helped make this mission a success.

For future updates on overseas enrolment and delivery missions, citizens are encouraged to follow the department’s official channels.
