A dozen students will on Monday embark on a three-year academic journey pursuing Bachelor Degrees in Information Technology (Hons) and Computer Science (Hons) offered at the University of Seychelles.

The new programmes are the result of a collaborative initiative between the University of Seychelles (UniSey) and SEGi University in Malaysia.

The two courses were launched yesterday morning at the UniSey Campus, Anse Royale in the presence of Education Minister, Dr Justin Valentin; Vice-Chancellor Joëlle Perreau; the principal secretary for Education Sector Development, John Lesperance; and the honorary consul of Seychelles in Malaysia, Kabitan Muniandy.

Also in attendance were the chief executive of the Seychelles Qualifications Authority (SQA), Fiona Ernesta, UniSey executive and staff members, students, stakeholders and partners including the managing director of SEGi University, Stella Lau, and management team, who were following online.
