Africa-Press – Seychelles. RUSI’s Centre for Finance and Security hosts sessions on sanctions and compliance
The Centre for Finance and Security at Royal United Services Institute honoured Seychelles with its presence where it conducted two workshops at the Eden Bleu Hotel last week. Seychelles NATION reached out to the focal point team conducting the workshop in order to understand the wider stance of what this means for the broader status of Seychelles in regards to finance, geopolitical areas and sanctions.
Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) is the world’s oldest and UK’s leading defence and security think tank. Its mission is to inform, influence and enhance public debate to help build a safer and more stable world.
The Centre for Finance and Security (CFS) at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) was established in 2014 to address the growing nexus between finance and security, a connection that has become increasingly critical in global affairs. The creation of the CFS was driven by the recognition that financial systems play a pivotal role in security challenges, including sanctions enforcement, economic risks from illicit activities like illegal fishing and drugs trafficking, and threats such as terrorist financing.
