ACC Indicts Koidu Hospital Staff for Misappropriation

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed an indictment at the High Court, Koidu, against Christian Benjamin Karjue, Head Store Keeper at Koidu Government Hospital, and Ibrahim Janneh, a cleaner at the same hospital.

They face one count of Conspiracy to Commit a Corruption Offence (Section 128(1)) and one count of Misappropriation of Public Property (Section 36(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 12 of 2008, as amended).

According to the ACC, between 10th and 18th April 2025, Karjue, Janneh, and other unknown individuals allegedly conspired to misappropriate thirteen cartons of assorted medical supplies meant for the Free Health Care Programme at Koidu Government Hospital.

The ACC reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public resources and called on the public to report any related concerns.
