Attorney General Engages APC on Reforms Discussions

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Alpha Sesay, hosted members of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party on Friday, 21st November 2025.

The purpose of the visits was to discuss ongoing constitutional and electoral reforms in Sierra Leone.

”I had the pleasure of hosting our brothers from the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party for productive discussions on ongoing constitutional and electoral reforms in Sierra Leone,” he stated.

Minister Alpha Sesay also noted that they discussed the need to work together to make the constitutional review process and the implementation of the Tripartite Committee recommendations people-centered.

He further informed that the government and the APC agree that these processes should be inclusive, participatory, credible, and owned by the people of Sierra Leone.

“The government looks forward to continuing these engagements with all parties. We will do this for Sierra Leone.” He said.

The meeting focused on the need for collaboration to ensure that both the constitutional review process and the implementation of the Tripartite Committee recommendations are people-centered.

Both the Government and the APC agreed that these processes must be inclusive, participatory, credible, and fully owned by the people of Sierra Leone.
