Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has officially presented its new employee database to the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), marking a crucial step towards improving data management and administrative efficiency within the ministry.

The presentation took place during the recent Senior Management Meeting, where Mathew Beckhio, the Director of Training and Career Development at HRMO, represented the Director General.

The detailed presentation was delivered by the Ministry’s ICT Consultant, Hassan Tholley, who outlined the structure and functionalities of the employee database. The initiative is part of the six-month reform plan spearheaded by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Morie Lengor.

Minister Lengor expressed gratitude towards Tholley, Human Resource Officer Fatmata Tarawalie, and the ICT team for their dedication in establishing the database and the official ministry website.

He stated, “The presentation highlighted the importance of enhancing data accuracy, staff records management, and administrative efficiency.”

In addition to the database, Tholley showcased recent updates made to the ministry’s official website, emphasizing improvements in transparency, user accessibility, and digital service delivery.

Director Beckhio praised the initiative, noting the professionalism and detail of the presentation. He formally requested that Tholley conduct a similar presentation at HRMO to facilitate further clarification and suggestions from the Director General.

The request aims to explore opportunities for alignment and the adoption of best practices to enhance data sharing and coordination between government entities.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the technical expertise demonstrated by Tholley and hoped for ongoing collaboration to improve digital governance across the ministry.
