Joseph Sannoh Accuses Chief Minister’s PA of Leaking Audio Criticizing President Bio

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Joseph Sannoh, President of the Sierra Leone Bloggers Association, has made serious allegations against Mohamed Lamin, the Personal Assistant to Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, claiming he leaked a private audio recording that disparages President Julius Maada Bio.

The audio, which emerged on social media on May 12, 2025, coincided with the President’s 61th birthday, and features Sannoh making critical remarks about the President and his government.

In the recording, Sannoh expressed his dislikes towards the President, stating, “That man doesn’t like me, so I don’t like him either. I won’t wish him any fucking birthday.” He further asserted that he would have opposed the government if not for his good relationship with the First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, saying, “I don’t want to know if he is alive, I won’t call him again, nor would I get close to him again.”

Sannoh accused Lamin of leaking the audio as revenge for his refusal to support the Chief Minister’s political aspirations. He claimed that Lamin had previously threatened him, stating, “At one time, he attacked saying my days are number; they will kill me.” Sannoh raised concerns about Lamin’s fitness for his role, suggesting that his actions indicate a risk to the confidentiality of communications within the Chief Minister’s office.

Sannoh further linked the leaked audio to recent allegations against the First Lady regarding her ownership of properties in London and Gambia, implying that Lamin may have a pattern of disclosing sensitive information. He concluded, “Such office is not secure in his hands,” highlighting the need for accountability and integrity among government officials.
