Kenema Mayor Criticizes Predecessor for City Hall Neglect

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Mayor of Kenema City, Thomas Karimu Baio, upon completion of the Kenema City Hall criticized the past administration over what he described as neglect.

In the opening ceremony, the Mayor expressed his views on the issue of neglect by his predecessors, towards the city hall, which is now witnessing a new dawn under his transformative leadership.

“Where others turned away, we stepped in. This town hall is part of Kenema and deserves equal development,” Mayor Baio said during an engagement with Civil Society representatives and the Fourth Estate.

Residents expressed gratitude for Mayor Baio’s commitment for completing what others abandoned.

“No one ever came here with seriousness. Mayor Baio did not only come he delivered,” said Augustune A. Sannoh a local elder.

Mayor Thomas Karimu Baio continues to prove that true leadership means going where the need is greatest and making sure no part of Kenema is left behind.
