Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Liberia’s Inspector General of Police, accompanied by a high-level delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, and Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Hon. Alpha Sesay, in Freetown on Wednesday, 2025.
The visit was made at the request of Sierra Leone’s Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, as part of efforts to enhance collaboration between the security sectors of both countries.
During the discussions, the two sides explored ways to improve joint security operations, strengthen information sharing, and deepen cooperation along the shared borders.
The engagement also underscored the importance of unified strategies in addressing emerging security threats within the Mano River Union region.
Vice President Jalloh and Attorney General Sesay welcomed the Liberian delegation and reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s commitment to working closely with Liberia to maintain peace, stability, and effective law enforcement across the sub-region.
The visit forms part of a four-day engagement between the leadership of the Liberia National Police and the Sierra Leone Police, aimed at boosting bilateral ties and improving cross-border security coordination.
