Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Susan Robert, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Emmanuel A.R. Gaima, Principal Executive Adviser to the President on the Public Service and Head of the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU).
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening institutional collaboration and aligning public sector operations with the national development agenda.
During the engagement, the leadership discussed strategies to operationalize President Julius Maada Bio’s “Big Five Game Changers.” Discussions centered on the need for synergy between NaCSA’s mandate for social protection and youth employment and the PSRU’s role in revamping the public service architecture.
The officials emphasized that successful implementation of initiatives such as Feed Salone, Human Capital Development, and the Youth Employment Scheme requires unified efforts across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
The visit follows recommendations from the recent Cabinet Retreat, where the previous working relationship between Commissioner Ndomahina and his former Deputy, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa (current SLPP Chairman), was highlighted as a model for effective governance. The engagement with Dr. Gaima was positioned as a practical step toward replicating this spirit of teamwork to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Dr. Gaima, who leads the strategy for public service transformation, and the NaCSA leadership concluded the meeting by reaffirming their commitment to reducing institutional silos to accelerate the delivery of government priorities.
