Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Commissioner-General of the National Revenue Authority NRA, Jeneba J. Bangura, has been appointed Chairperson of the ATAF Women in Tax Network (AWITN), a continental platform that champions women’s leadership and inclusion in tax administration across Africa.

As she takes on this prestigious role, Sierra Leone stands tall among the nations shaping the future of taxation on the continent.
The mission of the ATAF Women in Tax Network (AWITN) is to provide a unique environment for women in tax-related fields in Africa to connect, collaborate, and develop, while raising awareness of the interconnectivity between tax policy and gender equality.
The AWITN represents and connects the women of Africa working in taxation with the aim of furthering discussion on the effect of tax policy on gender equality and empowering women in tax. The network is an association which encourages the participation of African women working in taxation in government, the private sector, civil society and academia.
