Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Bo Government Secondary School, known as Bo School, is reportedly inaccessible to pupils despite the official start of the 2025/2026 academic year until further notice.
A publication by Global Times Newspaper stated that the school is temporarily shut down by the administration due to the massive reconstruction and rehabilitation work going on at the School campus aimed at improving the School infrastructure and facilities.
It is not known when the School will reopen, but sources say the resumption date will be communicated in due course.
The work is being undertaken by Hariss Construction and Civil Engineering Company.
Principal of the school, Reverend Hassan Kainesie reportedly expressed thanks and appreciation to the parents for their understanding and cooperation, and promised the pupils a soon return to school.
