Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Speaker of Parliament, Segepoh Thomas, welcomed a high-level delegation from China, accompanied by the Minority Leader, Abdul Kargbo, and the Majority Leader of Parliament.
The purpose of the visit was to foster mutual understanding and compare legislative systems between Sierra Leone and China, with hopes of strengthening cooperation and enhancing development between both nations.
Discussions focused on improving legislative practices, capacity building, and exploring areas of mutual benefit in governance and lawmaking.
At the end of the meeting, the Chinese delegation presented a special gift to Speaker Segepoh Thomas in recognition of his exemplary leadership and commitment to parliamentary diplomacy.
