Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, today engaged with the Leone Stars technical team in a strategic meeting to chart preparations for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Sierra Leone is set to face Guinea-Bissau on 4 September in Bissau, followed by a clash against Ethiopia on 9 September in Monrovia.

During the session, President Kamara commended the technical staff for their dedication and assured them of the FA’s full support. He emphasized the importance of unity, focus, and discipline as the team strives toward its World Cup aspirations.

“These matches are critical steps toward our World Cup dream. The FA, through the government of Sierra Leone, is committed to providing the resources, motivation, and enabling environment necessary for success,” Kamara stated.

Echoing the President’s message, Vice President 1 and Head of Technical, Alie Badara Tarawalie, highlighted the FA’s commitment to fostering close collaboration between the technical staff, players, and administration to ensure smooth and effective preparations.

Head Coach Mohamed Kallon expressed gratitude to President Kamara and his Executive team for their unwavering leadership and support, noting that it significantly boosts team morale. He reaffirmed that the technical staff will work relentlessly to achieve positive results for the nation.

The meeting concluded with a strong sense of optimism, as the SLFA leadership and technical team pledged to give their best in making Sierra Leone proud on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
