Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh officially opened the 10th Annual Conference of the Africa Public Sector Human Resource Managers Network (APS-HRMNet) at the Bintumani Conference Centre, welcoming over 400 participants from across the continent.
The event marked a significant milestone in advancing human resource management as a cornerstone of public sector excellence.
During his address, the Vice President called for:
Strengthening public service institutions to build capable states that deliver inclusive development;
Institutional excellence and accountability as drivers of reform and innovation; and
Cross-border collaboration among HR professionals to share best practices and harmonize standards across African public services.
Dr. Jalloh also highlighted Sierra Leone’s progress in public sector reform, citing efforts to modernize recruitment, improve service delivery, and promote merit-based systems within government structures.
The conference provided a platform for HR managers, policymakers, and development experts to explore strategies for building resilient institutions, enhancing workforce capacity, and fostering ethical leadership across Africa’s public sector.
