Africa-Press – South-Africa. The ANC in Tshwane says disputes that delayed its elective conference have now been resolved.

Today marks the first day of the 12th Greater Tshwane Regional Conference, where the party’s new leadership will be elected.

The conference has been postponed several times due to disputes over branch nominations and allegations of membership rigging.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the conference venue, outgoing regional secretary George Matjila said it was now all systems go.

“We are ready, as you can see we have the venue ready behind us. Once a venue has been procured, it simply means all the necessary logistical and administrative issues have been resolved. There was a pre-registration by the province two weeks ago just to ensure all delegates that form part of the conference are registered,” he said.
