Africa-Press – Tanzania. GOVERNMENT leaders in the Coast Region have been urged to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles in the execution of their duties and support President Samia Suluhu Hassan in delivering the pledges she committed to fulfil within her first 100 days in office after being sworn in this November.
The Coast Regional Commissioner, Abubakar Kunenge issued the call on Thursday during a meeting with District Commissioners, District Executive Directors, Council Chairpersons from all nine councils, as well as heads of departments and government institutions.
The session aimed to assess progress made so far in implementing the President’s 100- day commitments.
“Our President is deeply committed to improving the lives of Tanzanians across various sectors. Her pledges are focused on uplifting citizens’ wellbeing. It is now our responsibility to work closely with her and remove all bureaucratic barriers so that her vision for the nation can be fully realised,” he said.
RC Kunenge noted that the Coast Region has been a model of effective leadership under President Samia, noting that the area has recorded substantial progress in key sectors such as industry, investment, tourism, agriculture, road infrastructure, education and health.
“Our region has witnessed major development projects over the past four years under President Samia’s leadership, and we will continue to give her our full support to achieve even more,” he said.
