AfricaPress-Tanzania: YOUNG Africans Head Coach Cedric Kaze has described the Tanzanian league as the one embraces much physique saying it has got more pressure outside other than inside.
He insists it is energetic league that in return helps to build a strong national team.
Kaze noted that as his reaction to 1-1 draw Taifa Stars stamped in their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Tunisia on Tuesday.
Kaze, whose team had many players including the scorer of the equalizer, Feisal Salum said players played well against one of African football giants, Tunisia.
Kaze hailed Taifa Stars for earning one point against Tunisia. But, speaking yesterday, Kaze said settling for a draw with a big team like Tunisia was not something to be underrated while believing that Taifa Stars can still progress to play in the AFCON finals set in Cameroon next year.
“The most important thing for them is to thoroughly prepare for their next matches and with the presence of good coach (Etienne Ndayiragije), who has vast coaching experience, they will positively bounce back,” Kaze said.
He added that the level of composure displayed by Stars in the second half of the match was the turning point to get the equalising goal against a team which he said is collectively best.
Commenting on his coach of the month (October) award he recently won, Kaze said the accord was not his but rather dedicated it to the entire team’s technical bench.
“There are many people behind the scene who play a vital role towards the success of the team. Everybody works hard to ensure prosperity of the team,” he said.
“Generally, it is a pride for me, the technical bench and entire players of the club as such, it will enable us all to work even harder to drive our team to the next level,” he said.
About the newly signed Burundian player Said Ntibazonkia, Kaze narrated that he is aware of his potential after working with him for many years at the national team level.
“He has played in big leagues in Europe and what I can say is that it is a big chance for Yanga to get such kind of player who is well experienced and will be an opportunity for other players in the squad to learn extra things from him,” the coach said.
Moreover, Kaze said a good player is not judged during the 90 minutes of play but rather, his lifestyle outside the pitch has a big impact to determine his future.
