Africa-Press – Tanzania. Achraf Hakimi has spoken candidly in an interview with Clique about the rape accusation that has weighed heavily on him since 2023.
The PSG and Morocco defender said the situation has been deeply painful, especially for his family. “I have never been subjected to such harm. It hurts when lies are written, especially for my family. My children are still young, but one day they’ll read these things, and that is not something I would wish on anyone,” he shared.
Hakimi, who was indicted in March 2023 after being accused of rape at his home in Boulogne-Billancourt, has repeatedly denied the allegations, calling them “lies” and stressing his full cooperation with investigators, including providing DNA samples.
Beyond the case itself, Hakimi admitted the episode has left him wary of those around him. “In football, many people want to take advantage of us. After what happened, I changed a lot of things and people around me,” he said, explaining that he now keeps a much smaller, more protective circle. “My circle is so small that I no longer let anyone in,” he concluded, as he awaits the outcome of the judicial process and hopes the truth will soon be revealed.
