CCK vows affordable loans

Africa-Press – Tanzania. CHAMA Cha Kijamii (CCK) presidential flagbearer and Chairman, David Mwaijojele, yesterday launched his party’s campaign with a pledge to ensure Tanzanians access affordable loans and benefit from wide-ranging reforms if elected in the forthcoming polls.

Mr Mwaijojele promised to establish favourable loan systems with low interest rates to shield citizens from predatory lending and exploitative financial practices.

He also vowed to protect the rights of elderly citizens who have served the nation, pledging government support for their retirement, including the construction of houses for them.

Addressing supporters at Temeke Kijichi in Dar es Salaam, where the launch drew party faithful, parliamentary and council candidates, as well as his running mate Masoud Abdallah, the presidential candidate urged Tanzanians to entrust CCK with the mandate to lead.

He insisted that the party’s manifesto and policies surpass those of rivals and can deliver broad-based development.

“We will set aside proper areas for small-scale miners to prevent conflicts with largescale operators and reduce fatalities at mining sites. Miners will be provided with modern equipment and reliable markets locally and internationally. At the same time, we will ensure that every Tanzanian has access to energy, including gas and electricity,” he declared.

He further pledged reforms in the energy and mineral sectors to attract both local and foreign investment, while promising strategic support in land and agriculture.

According to him, CCK will empower farmers to engage in modern, high-yield farming by providing access to improved seeds, irrigation facilities and advanced farming technologies.

“CCK will build local and international market infrastructure and design affordable loan systems with low interest rates to shield Tanzanians from oppressive credit,” he reiterated.

On fishing industry, Mr Mwaijojele said his party would modernise the sector by building infrastructure and purchasing large, advanced fishing vessels. “This will enable fishermen to reach deep-water fishing grounds, thereby increasing their catch and income.

The party is committed to ensuring favourable market conditions for fish both domestically and abroad,” he explained.

The CCK candidate positioned his party as the true alternative for change, urging Tanzanians to embrace its policies and vision. “We have the best policies and manifesto compared to all other parties. We are bringing hope to Tanzanians. CCK will liberate this country. Cast your vote for CCK,” he said.

Mwaijojele stressed that, if elected, CCK would form a government of national unity in partnership with other parliamentary parties, rooted in democracy, unity and inclusivity.

“CCK intends to build a nation founded on democracy, justice, and hope for a better life for all Tanzanians. We are ready to form a national unity government with all parties represented in Parliament,” he affirmed.

He underscored that the party would safeguard peace, national unity and development while protecting the rights and freedoms of all citizens, including women, youth, children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Expressing optimism of sweeping victories, Mwaijojele predicted that CCK would secure more MPs and Councilors than any other party. “Here in Kijichi, you will have a dynamic MP to bring development and a councillor to energise this community. Vote for our MPs and councillors to send strong advocates to represent you,” he urged.
