Africa-Press – Tanzania. Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) and Mixx by Yas have partnered to launch an innovative platform aimed at easing accessibility to capital markets, empowering Tanzanians from all walks of life to seamlessly engage in investing.

Speaking at the launch, the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) Manager for Policy, Licensing and Payment System Supervision, Thomas Mongella said digital platforms are playing a critical role in deepening financial markets and empowering citizens to take greater control of their investments.

“Digital platforms like these are crucial for deepening our financial markets and empowering Tanzanians to take control of their investments,” he said. “This aligns with our broader goals of enhancing financial access across the country.”

Mr Mongella made the remarks over the weekend in Dar es Salaam during the launch of DSE Hisa Kiganjani – Mini App, now accessible within the Mixx Super App.

The app is a collaborative initiative between Mixx by Yas and the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), aimed at broadening retail participation in the capital markets through digital access.

This first-of-its-kind integration marks a new era of inclusive investing, allowing users nationwide—regardless of background—to seamlessly buy and sell shares through the Mixx Super App.

The DSE Hisa Kiganjani – Mini App available on Mixx Super App offers a unique experience that strips away the complexity traditionally associated with investing in the stock market.

With real-time local and international stock trends, a simplified onboarding process and secure transaction capabilities, the app brings capital markets closer to the people in a single click.

The Chief Executive Officer of Mixx by Yas, Ms Angelica Pesha, highlighted the platform’s transformative potential and Mixx’s pivotal role in launching the service.

“This is more than just a digital feature—it’s a game-changer for investing in Tanzania. We’re putting the power of the stock market directly into the hands of everyday citizens. True financial inclusion means breaking down barriers and creating real opportunities for all,” she stated.

Chief Executive Officer of the DSE, Mr Peter Nalitolela, called the collaboration a significant milestone in the exchange’s drive toward a more inclusive financial ecosystem.

“Our mission at the DSE is to broaden access and deepen participation in the capital markets. By integrating DSE Hisa Kiganjani – Mini App into the Mixx Super App, we’re giving every Tanzanian—regardless of status or location a fair opportunity to become co-owners in the nation’s financial future. The platform is secure, user-friendly, and built with tomorrow in mind.”
