Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRIME Minister Kassim Majaliwa has arrived in Abidjan to represent President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the Africa CEO Forum- a high-profile summit bringing together top business and political leaders from across the continent.
The two-day summit, which kicks off today, is expected to gather over 2,000 participants, including chief executive officers, investors, policymakers, and heads of state.
This year’s forum is held under the theme: “Africa in a Transactional World: Can a New Deal Between State and Private Sector Deliver the Continent a Winning Hand?”.
In a nutshell, it is aimed at facilitating strategic dialogue and fostering stronger partnerships between governments and the private sector, with a focus on unlocking Africa’s economic potential in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
According to the information available in the Forum site, throughout the conference, delegates will engage in a series of discussions, negotiations, and expert-led workshops designed to chart a new course for Africa’s development.
Key agenda topics include: AI-Powered African Governments, No Grid No Growth, Breaking New Ground, Mine Not Yours, Charting New Trade Routes, From Factory to Port, End Aid, and Project Finance.
Prime Minister Majaliwa is one of the several prominent speakers at the forum.
Others include President Alassane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoire, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
The Africa CEO Forum has established itself as a leading platform for dialogue between the private and public sectors.
The last edition of the forum was held in Kigali, Rwanda and attracted representation from more than 70 countries.
