Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Regional Administrative Secretary of Katavi, Albert Msovela, has opened a working meeting for Adult Education Officers implementing Adult Education and Non-Formal Education programmes in the country, aimed at strengthening their capacity in management, execution, and good governance focused on positive outcomes for the sustainable development of the nation.
Mr Msovela praised the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI) and education stakeholders for holding this important meeting aimed at ensuring every Tanzanian has access to education.
He praised the government for selecting Katavi Region as the host for the International Literacy Day and the Adult Education Week 2025 celebrations.
He stated that this step is a significant honor for the region and has encouraged citizens to actively participate in literacy activities and learn new techniques that will empower them to improve their lives.
Additionally, the Coordinator of Adult Education from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Felister Mapunda, expressed that the Ministry is proud of the positive cooperation with stakeholders in effectively implementing the Education and Training Policy of 2014, Edition 2023, while emphasizing national unity in celebrating International Literacy Day and Adult Education Week for sustainable development.
