Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Zanzibar’s Minister of State- President’s Office (Constitution, Legal Affairs and Good Governance), Dr Mzee Haji Ali said on Monday that a wellstructured legal system is critical for the efficient delivery of justice and for maintaining peace and stability in the country.

Speaking during the opening of a legal systems and procedures training session for law students in Zanzibar, Dr Mzee emphasised that effective implementation of legal principles is essential to the rule of law.

He encouraged students to regularly review their studies in order to stay up to date with the evolving legal landscape both locally and globally.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Zanzibar Law School, Dr Ali Ahmed Uki noted that the training will enable students to better understand how laws are drafted, interpreted and how legal institutions function.

For his part, the school’s Deputy Academic Head, Mr Msemo Mavare said the training would strengthen the capacity of future lawyers, both domestically and abroad, by enhancing their understanding of the roles and functions of the High Court and the Kadhi’s Court.
