Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIAN President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has approved 300 additional jobs for the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), bringing the total number of new jobs to 1,896.
Before President Samia’s additional jobs, TRA had announced 1,596 vacancies, according to a TRA statement released in Dar es Salaam today, May 28, 2025.
This increase follows a request by TRA to add 300 job positions that had been allocated in the budget for the upcoming 2025/2026 financial year, to be filled through the recently concluded recruitment process request that has now been approved by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
A statement released by TRA and signed by Mr. Moshi Jonathan Kabengwe, the Director of Human Resources and Administration on behalf of the Commissioner General, said the 1,896 newly recruited TRA employees will receive their appointment letters today, May 28, 2025, via their email addresses.
As per the TRA statement, the 1,896 successful candidates who have been hired are required to report to their designated venues on June 2, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. sharp and must bring with them all the necessary documents as specified in their appointment emails.
The authority expressed its appreciation to all applicants who showed interest in working with the Tanzania Revenue Authority and extended best wishes in their contributions to nation-building. Additionally, the 4,429 applicants who attended the interview stage but were not selected will have their information stored in the Authority’s database for future use.
