Samia Urges Support for Vision 2050 to Achieve Status

Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Tanzanian presidential candidate through the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Samia Suluhu Hassan, has urged the residents of Mvomero District in Morogoro Region to bank on her party’s Vision 2050, whose goal is to help them achieve the upper-middle income status.

Thus, she urged them to continue supporting CCM in this year’s General Elections.

She emphasized that if the party remains in power, it will effectively manage the National Development Vision 2050.

This vision aims to enable Tanzania to achieve an upper-middle-income economy, including reducing reliance on large external loans.

Dr. Samia made these remarks today, August 30, 2025, while addressing residents of Dakawa Ward, Mvomero District in Morogoro.

She explained that the goal of the National Development Vision is to ensure Tanzania has a self-reliant economy, where development activities can be carried out without depending on financial aid from donors.

Additionally, she assured the residents that the CCM-governed government will ensure that domestic resources are well-utilized to help the country reach its development goals.

Furthermore, she added that by 2050, no Tanzanian resident will lack essential social services such as health, education, electricity, and clean water. She stated that all these objectives will be achieved through a strong and self-reliant economy, which will empower Tanzanians to access better services and live improved lives.

In her speech, Dr. Samia stressed the importance of Tanzanian citizens continuing to support CCM to achieve these development goals and ensure that Tanzania reaches the status of an upper-middle-income economy by 2050.
