THE Sixth Phase Government under President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan is committed to creating employment opportunities in a order to strengthen the country’s Conservation Force, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Hassan Abbasi said today, February 2, 2026.

Dr Abbasi made the remarks during the graduation ceremony of 256 Tanzania Wildlife Authority (TAWA) rangers, held at the Pasiansi Wildlife Training Institute in Mwanza.

He stated that over the past year, the government has employed a total of 992 officers across various conservation institutions, a move aimed at enhancing efficiency in the protection of natural resources and wildlife nationwide.

“In the area of employment, the government under Dr Samia has fully fulfilled its responsibility. In addition to the graduates who are completing their training today and will immediately commence duty, we employed 992 officers last year, and we have now received approval to recruit an additional 700 officers for these institutions,” said Dr Abbasi.
