Africa-Press – Tanzania. YOUNG Africans’ President Hersi Said expressed his delight after his side secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Moroccan giants AS FAR Rabat at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar on Saturday.
The decisive goal came in the 59th minute when striker Prince Dube finished expertly after receiving a precise long-range pass from midfielder Mudathir Yahya.
Speaking after the match, President Said praised his team’s determination and discipline.
“We knew it would not be an easy match, but the boys showed great commitment and teamwork. The goal was the result of excellent coordination, and I’m proud of every single player,” he said.
Young Africans’ media and communications officer, Ally Kamwe, described the win as a stepping stone for the club’s CAF Champions League campaign.
“This victory is just the beginning. We are focused on our upcoming Champions League encounters and are working hard to make a strong statement,” Kamwe added.
