Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) has issued an official warning to Young Africans SC for breaching match procedures during their Premier League fixture against Mtibwa Sugar at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam on October 28.

According to a statement from the board, the Jangwani-based defending champions, failed to submit their players’ licenses on time, causing delays in the pre-match inspection process.

The verification exercise, which was scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m., began instead at 9:44 a.m., disrupting the day’s event schedule.

“The club’s failure to meet the required match protocols affected the smooth running of operations,” the TPLB said, warning that further breaches could attract heavier sanctions in future fixtures.

In the same announcement, Fountain Gate FC midfielder Issa Abushiri was named Player of the Month for October, following a standout run that saw his side collect seven points from three matches.

Abushiri scored once as Fountain Gate beat Dodoma Jiji (1–0), edged KMC (1–0), and drew 1–1 with Coastal Union.

Fountain Gate’s success extended to the technical bench, with head coach Mohamed Laizer claiming the Coach of the Month award, ahead of Zedekiah Otieno (Tanzania Prisons) and Francis Baraza (Pamba Jiji).

Meanwhile, the TPLB has suspended two match officials—referee Amina Kyando of Morogoro and assistant referee Abdallah Bakenga of Kigoma—for five rounds due to officiating errors during the 1–1 draw between Pamba Jiji and Singida Black Stars.

The board said the pair failed to correctly apply the laws of the game, notably after Singida’s goalkeeper handled the ball outside the penalty area without any disciplinary action taken.

The officials were also faulted for inconsistency and a lack of authority in key decisions.

The sanctions were imposed under Regulation 42:1(1.6 & 1.8), which governs referee performance and conduct in the Premier League.
