AfricaPress-Tanzania: TANZANIAN Simon Msuva missed a penalty when his team Diffaa Jadida shared spoils with Raja Casablanca during the return of Morocco’s Professional League “Botola Pro 1” on Monday.
The league resumed after more than four months of stoppage due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Two rescheduled games were played as “Botola” resumed, with former champions Raja Casablanca held to a barren stalemate with hosts Difaa Jadida, while Hassania Agadir emerged 1-0 victorious over Raja Beni Mellal.
Difaa missed a chance to win the game when Msuva’s penalty rebounded from the woodwork to see both sides settling for a goalless draw.
This season CAF Champions League semifinalists Raja whose last title dates back to 2012-13 remained sixth with 29 points, but with five games in hand. Difaa are eighth with 26 points, with two postponed games.
In Agadir, Husa well known as Hassania scored the game’s lone goal at the hour mark, thanks to Mehdi Obila’s goal.
HUSA who reached this season CAF Confederation Cup semifinals remained 14th while Raja Beni Mellal are rock bottom with just 8 points from 20 games.
Wydad Casablanca who took on MC Oujda on Tuesday, top charts with 36 points, with two games in hand.
